The Hydrangeas and Gardenias Are Blooming

Can you believe that we are into the middle of June already!  There is an old Rodgers and Hammerstein song called "June is Bustin' Out All Over."   Remember that one!  It is a cute and happy song that goes on to say,  "Fresh and alive and gay and young,  June is a love song, sweetly sung."

Yes, how  true!  All we have to do is look around and see how beautiful and green and vibrant Mother Nature has become during this lovely month of June.

I went out into the yard looking for some flowers to make a bouquet for the dinner table for our grandson Will's 15th family birthday dinner party.  Walking around I could see the hydrangeas are blooming and the amazingly beautiful and fragrant gardenias are also blooming.  What a lovely combination they make for a centerpiece bouquet.

In the below photo you can see the hydrangea and gardenia bouquet there on the table to the right.

As Will's brother Lawson, the one in red,  was taking the birthday cake to the table,  the top layer of the cake slid off the plate, turned upside down and landed on the tablecloth.  We got busy and propped the cake back up, and put some more candles and decorations back on top.  It was a pitiful looking birthday cake,  but it was still delicious.

I will keep my eyes open for more beautiful "fresh and alive, gay and young" June photo opportunities during this lovely month of June.

Wishing you beautiful mid June days and a happy rest of your weekend wherever you may be.

Happy Father's Day to everyone!
